EVENT OUTLINE

The ASEAN Plus Three Junior Science Odyssey (APT JSO) has been established by the ASEAN+3 Center for the Gifted in Science (ACGS), the Republic of Korea. The APT JSO aims to encourage gifted middle high-school students in ASEAN member countries, China, Korea and Japan to develop their knowledge and potential skills in Science. This event also has the objectives to stimulate students to share their experiences, to extend their friendships and enlarge their network among each other and to give an inspiration for pursuing their future careers in science and technology area.

In year 2019, the National Science Museum Thailand (NSM), Ministry of Science and Technology Thailand, as the representative of Thailand, will be the host of the 8th ASEAN Plus Three Junior Science Odyssey (APT JSO-8). The APT JSO-8 will be held during 9th - 15th June 2019 at the National Science Museum Thailand, Pathum Thani province, Thailand, in the theme of "The Role of Youth in Communicating Science for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the Regions".

OBJECTIVES

1. To encourage and challenge gifted Science students excelling in the field of science and technology.
2. To stimulate students' intellectual curiosity through various experiences and experiments.
3. To provide students with the opportunity to foster friendships and networking in the APT region.
4. To motivate students to pursue careers in the field of science and technology.
